Not today

Yesterday my dad lost his very hard battle with cancer.
I know he is no longer in pain and that he can finally rest easy but it doesn't make it any easier
Atleast not yet
My eyes are swollen from crying and I just don't have it in me to put on a happy face and post something uplifting.
I will say that the support I have received from total strangers and people I have never met in real life has floored me.
The blogging community is truly an amazing one and I'm so happy to be a part of it.

I'll be back tomorrow but for today I'm just going to enjoy life, because it really is a gift.

I love you big daddy, king of the house, always in charge Douglas Merreighn, Sir.

  4. Im so very sorry for your loss Candra :( I have walked in your shoes and I wouldnt wish it on anyone - tomorrow is World Cancer Day and Im going to run 6 miles in honor of my dad who would be turning 60 this year in August - he passed 16 days before what would have been his 56th birthday. Even if I have to stop and walk, Im going to run for him tomorrow - Again, I am so terribly sorry for your loss!!! Email me if you need anything and Im giving you a big virtual hug!
