I love running and it is seriously cramping my style that we are now living in Antarctica
Even as I type this we are getting an average of 5" an hour... cool.
When I started running I had no idea what I was doing.
I still don't.
At least now I can stalk other blogs and steal their secrets!
So enter this giveaway steal our advice, and pray that our snow melts so that some of my half training can actually be outside.

I would definitely get new running shoes. I've been wanting to get some that are specific for trail running but since that's only about a third of my runs I haven't been able to justify the expense.
ReplyDeleteAdvice? Ohhh .... I think the best running advice I can give is to stick with it. I did my first half marathon in October and it wasn't pretty. I stuck with it and did my second half marathon about 7 weeks later, and I knocked 8 minutes off my time. I know it was bc I stuck with if and conditioned myself so much better!
ReplyDeleteShoes! I need new running shoes bad.
ReplyDeleteLoved everyones advice!
ReplyDeleteMine would be to not say 'if' but more 'when.'
As in 'when I can run 1mile without stopping' instead of 'if I can...' I'm working towards my first half marathon and have to correct myself from saying 'if I finish' to more positive thinking that finishing isn't the question. It is 'when'
New shoes for sure. I haven't bought a new pair in a while! :)

I really need some decent running tops. My advice is to find a group or programme that you love- I would give up after about 3 minutes when I was running by myself but now that I run with a group on Saturday and I use the Zombies, Run app I actually look forward to running and I am doing my first 5k race in a couple of weeks.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely need a new pair of running shoes as the pair I have now no longer provides me with good support.
ReplyDeleteHey Candra! Nice to meet you, am glad to find your blog through this giveaway!

Candra, What a great idea - I love this and am going to bookmark this post :) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteNo tips from me, but im gonna read em all so I can get in track. I'd spend the money on proper attire for running.
ReplyDeleteMy tip would be to find something about running that you like! For me, it's about the way I feel once I've completed a good run. I'd also echo your running mantra, Candra. I'm no speed demon like my track star sister, but I do my best not to walk when I get tired, and just keep moving!
ReplyDeleteTake your time! Running is a mental game and takes time! Keep going and trust in your journey! :)
ReplyDeleteI would buy some new running shoes.
ReplyDeleteI love that a mile is a mile you are a runner :)
ReplyDeleteMy tip would be my favorite running quote: "In running, it doesn't matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say, 'I have finished.' There is a lot of satisfaction in that."
