Mommy Brain

I hope everyone checked out yesterday's post. If you haven't yet you can read it here.
Thanks again Lauren, and thanks Chris and Holly for the amazing blog design.
Next Monday will be my friend Shelby...get ready it's a good one.
This past weekend was JAM PACKED.
Friday Mabel and I went to the Circus (more about that on Friday)
Saturday we had dinner over a friends house and I made this AMAZE dessert that I am never making again because I'm pretty sure I gained 10 pounds just looking at it.

Sunday was game day and the annual Firemans breakfast. We always have a busy day when the Pat's play during the day. It's also meal prep day for me so...yeah.

Friday I had the day off so I ran a few errands, checked out a new consignment store, bought some stuff at Michael's to make this cute Fall wreath,

and when I got home to unpack my car, I opened the trunk and saw this....

Mommy brain at it's finest.
I'm obviously not going to return that shit because I already feel crazy enough thank you. I'll Pintrest that piece and everyone will ask me how I got my hands on that.
This is not my first case of Mommy brain and I'm sure it won't be my last. I also know that I am not the only one with Mommy brain and that it never goes away.
For some reason our driveway induces episodes of Mommy brain.
Recently after grocery shopping I brought everything in the house and put it away, then went to pick my kids up from daycare.
When I got home I realized I left the toilet paper behind my car...
...and then drove over it.
Good thing I bought that Industrial size so for a few months all of our rolls of TP will look like this.

YAY.

The morning of our wedding, which just happened to be about two months after we moved into our new house (which means I still had boxes in my car) I had to bring some stuff to the hall. I took a few heavy things out to make room, but couldn't carry them inside.
So I left them in the driveway...
Then came home to this....
sorry for the bad quality but you get it.

My husbands first task as a married man was to collect all his pennies he's been saving for years and clean the dirt off of them.
Thanks babe.
I am glad to say that one was not me... that was my mom.
To top it off she didn't confess to it for about a year.
The whole time we thought it was my uncle.

Do you have Mommy brain? I want to hear your stories!!

Also my guest post for Sami is tomorrow so be sure to check it out!!

  1. Hahahahahaha, I loled when I saw you took the basket! On the bright side you could totally paint that basket and make it something cool... :)

  2. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Tell the truth, you would have hid the flattened rolls of TP from Tony if there was a way. Love you, Baby.
