It's a FITNESS Pole.

This weekend I tried something new.
I have actually been wanting to try this since I watched Kendra.

That's right... pole dancing.
This month for the NH Blog and Tweet meet up we tried our hand at pole dancing at New Perspectives Pole and Aerial LLC.

It was located in this the commercial district of Manchester and the space was really neat.

I didn't really know what to expect but I figured I would come home with a ton of bruises and would probably do better after a few margaritas.
My husband and my kids rode up to Manchester with me because we decided to bring them to Build A Bear afterwards (which I will not be talking about in the same post...). So the Margaritas before hand were out.

We started with some stretches and some floor work. Which was not the normal floor work. This was like full body rolls on the floor, fan kicks and hip grinding.

Then we started with some "easy" spins and lifts on the pole.
I was amazed at how much of a full body workout every move was.
Every time I lifted myself I felt it in my arms, my legs and my core.

After we all practiced some of our new moves the instructor put together a little number that included all of them. A friend was kind enough to record mine but which I then texted to a VERY select few.

The carousal spin was my absolute favorite. Not only did it look cool it made me feel super strong.

We incorporated some hair flips and sexy walks, but this was the extent of my sexiness.

woof.

I really really enjoyed this and it would be an amazing girls day activity. Especially if it was followed by drinks while looking over pictures.
You can find all of the information on this class as well as some of the other amazing classes she offers at her website here.
You can also check her out on Facebook (make sure you like her page she has a grand opening day coming up that you don't want to miss!)

  8. LOVE IT!! We did this for my bachelorette party and we had sooooo much fun! The place that we went allowed drinking and we got a little toasty beforehand. I wish I had the pictures to show you. I looked like a cow on that bitch compared to the professional. This heaux grinded the pole UPSIDE DOWN and made the fall to the floor look sexy. SO MUCH FUN!!
