Long weekend over…boooo.
At least it was a good one.
We went “camping”. Hubs version of camping, not mine.
I like the rustic style of camping.
Cooking over a campfire, sleeping in a tent, bathing in the river…
Okay not the last one, but if I was forced to I would probably love it.
Hubs style of camping is sleeping in a trailer with air conditioning, a real bathroom, and a T.V.
His mother is a seasonal camper at a campground and every year they have an auction where they raise money for MDA.
Hubs built by hand a wooden rocking horse that sold for $67.
I should have taken a picture of it because it was amazing.
Next year is the 10 year anniversary of the death of his brother so the auction will be huge, and I will be DIYing it up all year for it.
Even more amazing than his rocking horse was the fact that I didn’t cheat.
I passed on, pizza, smores, hamburgers, chips, lemon AND pumpkin cake, BACON, candy, soda.
All of it.
It felt damn good too.
I got a couple comments about my “eating differently” but hey it comes with the territory.
This morning I woke up and got right back into the grind.
At the gym this morning, I got down to do some push-ups and felt a weird sharp pain in my lower abdomen, right in the middle below my belly button.
I can’t even really explain it. Has anyone else ever had this?
I got my leg workout in, and hopefully tomorrow it will fell better.
I think I need some more fiber in my diet, if ya know what I’m saying.
My daughter has also figured out that I will not eat the junk food she asks me to hold.
So I have become her keeper of food she wants to eat painfully slow.
One of my favorite authors came out with a new book that she co-wrote with someone.
I hate it already just by reading the back cover, and I’m so disappointed.
I am half way through Gone Girl and I have two more books lined up
The Memory Keeper’s Daughter
The Mermaid Chair.
Any thoughts on these? I’m talking to you Steph….
Alright kiddos, enjoy your four day week, get your ass to the gym, and while your sitting at your comp, hop on over and check out Jacquelyn from Just Jacq.
We got paired up for her September Post Exchange and I couldn’t be more excited.
I hope she’s down for a care package cause I loveee to give, could be why I’m broke…
One more thing. My mom shocked and amazed me this weekend. She rode in a 60 mile bike race this weekend, and did the whole damn thing. She may have come in last, but last in a race is better than last on the couch. YAY Mommy!
