The Time Has Come...

The walrus said, to talk of many things.

What movie does that make you think of? For me it's Harriet the Spy.

Anywho.

My boudoir shoot is finally this week. I have my spray tan tonight with my friend and I'm super excited...
For the spray tan, I'm not sure how I feel about the session yet.
I wanted to be so proud of my accomplishments, and I wanted this to give to my husband but also for myself. To look as beautiful as I feel. I was on point with my diet I had just run my first half, I was punching PR's in the face.
Then I got a little lazy. I got right back into the workout game and I have been doing really well thanks to my amazing trainer Sarah... who by the way posts all my workouts on her Facebook page here so go get you some and tell her I sent you!

I just have not been able to get back into the whole meal prep and logging and counting, and measuring, and folding.
No wait not folding.... you get the idea.
I finally realized that recently that I am not in competition prep. I do not need to eat only lean meat and sweet potatoes, but I also need to cool it on the 10 cupcakes washed down with Dr.Pepper.
WHY OH WHY can I not have a happy medium???

When I eat better I feel better plain and simple.
I tell myself this every morning. Then I drive by Dunkins and think I also feel good when I'm eating a donut.

Next month is my birthday and I'm turning 25 (okay I'm actually turning 27) and I asked my husband to give me one month of the whole family eating 100% clean. He said no.
I also asked him if we could spend a year only buying things at yard sales and he also said no.
So I'm thinking maybe it was just wrong timing.
I secretly planned all clean meals for dinner this week. I do the meal plans and I do the shopping. Why should I not be able to change the way we all eat. I start my new job this week and with it I'll be home Mondays and Wednesdays. I plan on cooking and prepping these days. Making snacks at home, and lots more freezer meals.

If I come across any amazing freezer meals I will be sure to share them.
Do you have any family friendly clean freezer meals?

  1. Girl, I do the shopping and cooking so my family eats what I give them. I am not a short order cook and will not cook two different meals each night. You get what you get and you don't throw a fit in my house. I am a big fan of spaghetti for an easy meal. Whole wheat spaghetti, organic sauce, and 1lb lean ground beef. Cook it and throw it all together and we can eat on it for days.

  7. Dunkin gets me every time. I just can't help it. I know you'll have fun with your shoot! When I did mine, I totally thought the photog could see my a-hole when I was laying on my tummy and she said the best thing... "Don't worry I've seen it all before." LOL! So true! And she positioned me and I didn't have to think at all! I know yours will turn out amaze balls!

  8. Good luck on the boudoir shoot, and HAVE FUN with it! I did a shoot for Steve's wedding present, and it was such a blast. This is probably going to sound extremely narcissistic, but two of the photos (tasteful ones!) are framed and hanging in our bedroom. Enjoy what you worked so hard for, and damn right, do it for you, too! And bring fun props like bubbles, a wine glass, maybe a jersey from his favorite sports team, red lipstick, cute heels!

I just finished the 21 Day Sugar Detox, and Steve ate all the dinners I prepared. It was either eat what I made or fend for himself!
